Our History

TSSA Ltd is a members only shooting club based in Mossley and has been an established shooting club since the 1950’s. The club is based in the historic Drill Hall where F and H Companies of the 7thBattalion of the Duke of Wellington’s Territorial Regiment was based. In 2015 a Blue Plaque was awarded to commemorate its historic connections with the military and Ernest Sykes VC, a soldier of the great war.

Heritage Centre

TSSA Ltd is the only club in the North West registered with the Home Office as a S7.3 Historical Centre for the study and evaluation of historic and rare firearms and is one of only eleven Designated Sites in the Country.

Section 7 of the Firearms Act is for the purpose of preservation, collection, demonstration, research and study of firearms of historic and significant interest. This allows for members who have a keen interest in historic firearms to increase their knowledge of often rare firearms through study and evaluation.
